Jackie 'J.R.' Clayborn Rutledge

Mr. Jackie ""J.R."" Clayborn Rutledge, age 71 passed away Sunday evening August 28, 2011 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. J.R. was born in Stokes County April 28, 1940 to Charlie Clayborn and Ruby Lillian Boles Rutledge. He was of the Moravian faith and a veteran of the United States Army. J.R. loved the beach and enjoyed Nascar Racing. J.R. was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are one daughter; Jennifer (Keith) Atchison and one son; Charles (Ginger) Rutledge both of Winston-Salem. Three grandchildren: Katelyn Atchison, Haley Rutledge and Travis Peacock. Two Step-great-grandchildren: Jayden and Madison Peacock. One sister; Shirley Schahrer of GA. and one brother; Don (Vickie) Rutledge of Rural Hall. Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning, August 31, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home Chapel in Rural Hall by Pastor Robert Lattimore. Burial will follow at Rural Hall Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening August 30th from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
