Jack "Bo" Waddell, Jr.

Mr. Jack Edward “Bo” Waddell, Jr., 57, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at his home in Westfield, surrounded by his family. He was born in Surry Co. on March 21, 1965, the son of Jack Edward Waddell, Sr. and Wanda Billings Waddell. Bo lived in Wilkes Co. before moving to Forsyth Co. in 1989 and starting his flooring career. He opened University Flooring Center with his wife Patti in 2013 and grew his business over the years with children and son-in-law. He was a hardworking, selfless man who instilled a strong work ethic in his children. Bo was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend, who will be missed deeply by all who knew him. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, deep sea fishing, mountain trips, four wheeling and enjoying his home with everyone. Bo is survived by his wife, Patti Waddell; four children, Bradley Evan Waddell (Jessica) of Kernersville, Mitchell Aaron Waddell of King, Megan Waddell McGee (Logan) of Walnut Cove and Matthew Cole Waddell of Westfield; six grandchildren, Haley, Cameron, Skyler, Landon, Elijah and Baby Jack; his parents, Jack and Wanda Waddell, two sisters, Sheryle Waddell Ivey (George) and Renna Waddell Prevette (Joe) and a brother, Chris Alan Waddell (Melissa). Funeral services celebrating Bo’s life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Pastor Roscoe Bowden officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
