Jackaline Jackie James Whitaker

Mrs. Jackaline ""Jackie"" James Whitaker, 76, of Winston-Salem passed away Friday, November 21, 2008 at her home. She was born July 3, 1932 in Davie County to Dallas Thomas and Douscha Spry James. She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church and retired from Kroger with 15 years of service in the Deli Department. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ira ""Leroy"" Whitaker. Surviving are one daughter, Robin W. Branch and husband C.W. of Midway; two sons, Ira ""Lee"" Whitaker and wife Dee Dee of Greensboro, Daniel Whitaker and wife Ann of Littleton, CO; five grandchildren, Diana, Christopher, David, Caitlin and Erin; two sisters, Margie Jenkins of Winston-Salem, Wanda Huggett of Earlsville, IL. A graveside service will be conducted 11:00AM Monday, November 4, 2008 at Parklawn Memorial Park with Wayne Worrell officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00PM until 7:00PM Sunday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
