Mr. Jack William Trexler, 76, of Clemmons, NC, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2015 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mr. Trexler was born on June 29, 1938 in Rowan County, NC to the late Alec Trexler and Swanee Bennett Trexler. Jack was a long-time member of First Christian Church of Clemmons. He was employed with Parks & Son (formerly Bingham & Parks) in Advance, NC for 52 years. Jack enjoyed restoring antique tractors with his good friend Roger Woosley and traveling to different tractor shows in the United States. He was an avid bee keeper and enthusiast for over 50 years. In addition to his parents, Mr. Trexler was preceded in death by his first wife, Peggy Phelps Trexler and one brother, Bud Trexler. Mr. Trexler is survived by his wife, Phyllis ""Sunshine"" Beeson Trexler of the home; one step-son, Jonathan Edwards of Greensboro, NC; one step-daughter, Gina Pope (Scott) of Kernersville, NC; two step-grandchildren, Christopher and Justin Pope; two brothers, Joe Trexler (Carolyn) and Donnie Trexler (Myrtis), all of Gold Hill, NC; and numerous other loving relatives. Funeral services for Mr. Trexler will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at First Christian Church of Clemmons with Rev. Bruce Sheeks officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The family would like to express their thanks to Dr. Jason Thomason and the staff at Salem Chest for the care they provided to Jack. Flowers will be accepted or the family requests memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Forsyth County, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
