Jack Leston Stephens

Jack Stephens - man of God, beloved husband, father, son, brother, friend and jokester - died early Sunday morning, August 10, 2008, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. He was born Sept. 6, 1957, in Brownwood, TX. In 1981, Jack married Kimberly Freitag in her hometown of Fairbury, NE. The couple recently celebrated their twenty-seventh wedding anniversary on Friday, August 8. God has indeed blessed their family with many places called home and many happy years together. Jack Stephens is survived by his wife, Kim, and their three children, Nathan, Heather, and Michaela, his mother, Lanell Woolsey, his stepfather and wife, Garland and LaBarbara Woolsey, his three brothers, Kenneth, Glen, and Daniel, and their respective families, his parents-in-law, Darrel and Marge Freitag, his sister-in-law, Kris Pishny, and family, and his brother-in-law, Doug Freitag. A viewing will be open to the public at the Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 13, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The following day Heavenview United Pentecostal Church will host a celebration of his life; the service will begin at 2:00 p.m. A graveside service will follow at the Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons. This obituary must and will end with an echo of some of Jack Stephens' last words: ""Hallelujah"" and ""I love you all so much. Thank you for all you have done for my family.""
