Mr. Jack Clinton Stanley, 76, of Winston-Salem passed away September 26, 2008 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born in Forsyth County to the late James Clinton and Martha Victoria Fulp Stanley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Hutchens Stanley. Mr. Stanley was a member of Deep River Friends and retired from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company with 30 years of service and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by two daughters, April Stanley Canter and Melinda Shore Backstrom and husband Martin; two sons, Ford Mitchell Shore and wife Jonnie Lauten Shore and Mark Shore and wife Dena Renee; nine grandchildren, Nicholas Shore and wife, Mary Francis, Amber Kincer and husband Chris, Scott Shore, Daniel Dumont, Hayden Backstrom, Jacob Backstrom, Tessa Canter, Chase Shore, and Trey Shore; a great-granddaughter, Addison Kincer; a brother, Don Stanley and wife Bea; and a niece, Donna Bennett. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Scott Wagner officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Monday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
