Jack Hunter Smith, Jr.

Mr. Jack Hunter Smith, Jr., 82, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born January 20, 1929 in Lexington, NC to the late Woylene Greene and Jack Hunter Smith, Sr. Mr. Smith loved flowers and gardening. He enjoyed antique cars and civil war history. He was a member of Sons of Confederate Veterans and the Confederate Society of North Carolina. Surviving is his brother, Douglas H. Smith and several cousins. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, December 19, 2011 at Forsyth Memorial Park with Chaplain Douglas Evans officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
