Jack Gaither Ridings

Jack G. Ridings, 64, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015.

Jack was born August 30, 1950 in Forsyth County to Walter and Alma Davis Ridings. He worked for over 30 years for Bellsouth. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening and also was a volunteer firefighter during the 1970s and 1980s. His great love in life was his wife of 46 years, Diane, who precedes him in death. Jack will be lovingly remembered as a man who was always laughing and always had a smile on his face. In addition to his wife, Jack was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.

Jack is survived by his daughter, Selina Rodriguez of Salisbury; son, Matt Ridings and wife Leisa of Winston-Salem; grandchildren, Gracie and Katherine Ridings; and several other family members and friends.

A celebration of Jack's life will be held Sunday, March 1, 2015 at 2 pm at Friends Baptist Church, 1840 Lewisville-Clemmons Road, Clemmons, NC 27012. Pastor Daron Osborne will be officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel is assisting the family.
