Jack Pegg

Kernersville-Jack Weldon Pegg, 78, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2022.   Born November 11, 1943, he was the son of the late Aubrey Ragland Pegg and Era Sisk Pegg and was the last remaining member of his immediate family.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of nearly 56 years Helen Pegg of the home; daughter Wendy Albright and husband Mack of Durham and son Jeff Pegg and wife Ashlee of Kernersville; four grandchildren Katie Godfrey and husband Jeremy; Kelly Maguire and fiancé Michael; Michael Pegg and wife Kristen and Morgan Pegg; three great-grandchildren, Ragan, Deacon, and Saylor Godfrey.

Jack graduated from Campbell College with a degree in Business, which served him well throughout his career.  He found his true passion when he became a licensed contractor and real estate broker.  In Kernersville, he made his mark with countless subdivisions and custom-built homes.

He became a member of Union Grove Baptist Church where his love for the Lord was nurtured by serving as a deacon and becoming involved in numerous church committees and activities.

Jack was a devoted husband, father, and “Papa Jack” to his beloved grandchildren

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, July 18, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Union Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Roberson officiating and interment following at the church cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Union Grove Baptist Church, 5424 Union Grove Road, Oak Ridge, NC 27310.
