KIGER - RURAL HALL Mr. Jack Madison Kiger passed away Friday, January 06, 2012 at Village Care of King. He was born July 2, 1922 in Forsyth County to the late Dora Catherine Harris Kiger and Gurney Madison Kiger. Mr. Kiger proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and retired from the City of Winston-Salem with over 25 years of service. In addition to his parents, Mr. Kiger was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Vaden Kiger and his second wife, Betty Shinault Kiger; and five siblings. Surviving are his four nieces, Linda Johnson, Hilda Williams, Marcelena Kluttz and Maria Dix; one nephew, James Collins Jr.; and other extended family. A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Bethel United Methodist Church in King with the Rev. Jack Lutz officiating. Mr. Kiger's body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
