Winston-Salem- Jack Howard Ingool, 82, passed into the more immediate presence of his Lord and Saviour on Saturday, November 13, 2010 from Forsyth Medical Center. Jack was born January 10, 1928, in Winston-Salem, NC to Denver and Ada Gentry Ingool. He later moved to Jonesville, NC where he met and married the love of his life, Edna Wagoner Ingool, in August of 1952. They moved back to Winston-Salem in the late 1950's. She preceded him in death in March of this year. Jack served in the U.S. Coast Guard and then in the U.S. Army and later was in the grocery business, retiring from the Colonial/Big Star chain. He was a faithful member of Konnoak Baptist Church in Winston-Salem as long as his health permitted and then kept up faithfully with the happenings in his church through his pastor and friends. He thoroughly enjoyed listening to the tapes of the services provided by the church tape ministry. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Ruth Evans, Kathleen Holbrook and Carolyn Ousley and a brother, Thomas Ingool. He is survived by sisters, Opal Burgess of Cary and Mary Belle Shelton of Winston-Salem, along with several nieces and nephews, a special niece, Lenetta Frawley of Woodstock, Georgia, special friends, Al and Marie Templeton, Ike and Jo Brann and his dearest friends in the world, Hugh and Vickie White. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at Konnoak Baptist Church with Rev. John Bishop officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 PM Monday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. A very special thanks to the staff and residents of Homestead Hills in Winston-Salem where he had made his home since the death of his beloved wife.
