Mr. Jack Yokley Fisher Sr., 90, of Winston-Salem, entered the more immediate presence of the Lord on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. Jack was born on October 14, 1924 to the late Oscar Hayes Fisher and Mittie Yokley Fisher. He was the youngest of their nine children. In 1943, at age 18, Jack was drafted into the US Army. He served in France, Belgium and Germany, while also taking part in the Battle of Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge. After returning from Europe, he opened Jack Fisher Wholesale Meats for business on Oct 31, 1946. He passionately worked the rest of his earthly days, putting his tenure at almost 70 years. ""Pappaw"" Jack was a dedicated and lifetime member of Trinity Moravian Church. He faithfully served many years as head usher and on the board of Trustees.
