Jack Davis, Sr.

Mr. Jack Dempsey Davis, Sr. passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at Forsyth Medical Center. Jack was born in Macon County, NC, on October 17, 1940, to Archie Veldon and Nell Mallonee Davis. Jack was a Marine that served in the Vietnam war and a retired Detective with the Winston-Salem Police Department. He was a devoted husband and loving father.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers; Ned and Keith Davis, two sisters; Helen Davis and Loretta Whelan (Chuck), one son; Jack Davis, Jr., and his wife; Carol Creeson Davis. Surviving members of the family are one son; Michael Davis, (Susan) and one daughter; Sirena Black, (Keith), brothers Kenneth Davis, Wade Davis, and Vernon Davis (Jean); and one sister; Louetta Smith (Robert), three grandchildren; Jackie, Kellie, and Ryan Davis, and one great-grandson; Belial Johnson, along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

There will be private family services held at a later date.
