Jack M. Borgen

SHERRILLS FORD, NC-Mr. Jack M. Borgen, 73, of Sherrills Ford, NC, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2015, at the Sherrills Ford Hospice House. Mr. Borgen was born on June 2, 1942, in Superior Wisconsin to the late Merlyn Otis Borgen and Jeanne Elizabeth Taft Borgen. Jack retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company after 30 years of service. He was a motorcycle and classic car enthusiast. Jack enjoyed all kinds of music and would always have it playing. He loved being on the lake. Jack lived by ""doing the right thing."" Mr. Borgen is survived by his wife, Dianne M. Borgen of the home; children, Sheree Still (Alton) of Lake Wales, FL, Jeff Borgen (Gayle) of Valrico, FL, and Jaci B. Wheeler of Raleigh, NC; four grandchildren, Amie Still, Jada Borgen, Garrett Borgen, and Mason Wheeler; one brother, Tom Borgen (Denise) of Royal Palm Beach, FL; and one brother-in-law, George Morgan (Diane) of West Palm Beach, FL. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 31, 2015, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Kevin L. Kilbreth officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Sunday, August 30, 2015, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
