Iza Lily Morris

MORRIS - WINSTON-SALEM Iza Lily Morris and Derek Morris passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2011 at their home. Iza was the beloved daughter of Derek Morris and Sarah Morris. She was born November 28, 2004 in DeKalb County, GA. Iza was a student at Forsyth Academy and was in Mrs. Jessica Kennedy's 1st grade class. Iza was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Stephen Morris and her maternal aunt, Tanya Cox. Surviving are her mother, Sarah Morris; maternal grandparents, Raylene Snyder and Edward Snyder; paternal grandmother, Martha Morris; paternal great-grandmothers, Lucille Lane and Margie Morris; and also numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. Derek was born February 4, 1979 in Fulton County, GA to Martha Lane Morris and the late Stephen Bruce Morris. In addition to his father, Derek was preceded in death by his sister, Sarah. Surviving are his wife, Sarah A. B. Morris; mother, Martha Morris; maternal grandmother, Lucille Lane and paternal grandmother, Margie Morris; five siblings, Conan, Ingrid, Gabe, Michelle and Ethan; and also many other extended family members. A funeral service will be conducted for Iza and Derek at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 13 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with the Rev. R. Sidney Lanier officiating. There will be no formal visitation. There will also be a service at Tom M. Wages Funeral Service in Snellville, GA. Iza and Derek will be buried at Eternal Hills in Snellville, GA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Forsyth Academy in Iza's memory at 5426 Shattalon Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27106.
