Ivan Douglas Cox

Mr. Ivan Douglas Cox, 78, passed away August 25, 2015 at his home. He was born February 4, 1937 in Greeneville, TN to the late Robert Franklin Cox and Leon Elizabeth Johnson Cox. He attended Crestwood Baptist Church as long as his health permitted. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Cox. Mr. Cox is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Edith Whitworth Cox; a brother, Jacob Cox and wife Mitzi of Tennessee; a special young man that was like his grandson, Justin Roberts; a dedicated sister-in-law, Theresa Whitworth and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, August 28, 2015 at Forsyth Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor David Wood officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Thursday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
