Isadora Clay Goode

On Saturday, February 27, 2016, Isadora Clay Goode, 89, of Winston-Salem, NC, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Isadora was born on March 4, 1926, in Altavista, Virginia to the late Leslie William Clay and Ollie Lane Clay. In addition to her parents, Isadora was preceded in death by brothers, Raymond, Ernest, Aaron and Roger Clay; and sisters, Viola Dobson and Mabel Plaster. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Raymond Clifford Goode of Winston-Salem; her two children, Bob R. Goode (Patti) of Wilmington, NC and Bonnie G. Jones (Don) of Advance, NC; grandchildren, Clay Jones (Jennifer), Andrew Jones (Brandy), Ashley Furbee (Jacob) and John Goode; great-grandchildren, Conner, Caleb and Harper Jones; and sister, Drucilla Powell. A funeral service will be conducted at 6:00 pm on Monday, February 29, 2016, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Tim Wolfe officiating. We know she awoke in the presence of her Lord this morning and is walking the streets of heaven with Him, her parents, and brothers and sisters who went home before her. Our comfort is in Christ and His great promises for those who place their trust in Him. ""Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal."" II Corinthians 4:16-18 NKJV.
