Isaac Dale Blakley

Mr. Isaac Dale Blakley, 88, passed away May 7, 2015 at Brookridge Retirement Community. He was born May 31, 1926 in Forsyth County to the late Everett Lee Blakley and Naomi Inez Utt Blakley. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and sang in the choir and quartet. He was also the engineer for building of the Activity Center at Grace Baptist Church. Mr. Blakley served in the U. S. Air Force during World War II. He retired from Stewart Warner Corporation as Director of Engineering with 41 years of service. He was preceded in death by his brother, Wesley Lee Blakley; three sisters, Josephine Kelley, Alma Alexander, and Juanita McKay and a son-in-law, Donald Wolf. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Ethel Warden Blakley; four children, Rick Blakley, Renee Laws and husband Arnold, Candace Wolf, and Shalon Vogler; six grandchildren, Justin Wolf, Ryan Wolf and wife Yamila, Bradford Wolf, Lewis Vogler, Amanda Vogler, and Presley Vogler. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm, Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Ed Sears officiating. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Brookridge Retirement Community for the care and compassion shown to Mr. Blakley.
