Irvin David Booe, Jr.

It is with a heavy heart we inform family and friends of the passing of David. Those he left behind to mourn are his wife of 67 years, Carol, who loved him dearly. David was a loving and devoted husband and companion. His daughter, Patricia Bohannan (Dennis); his granddaughter, Theresa Mabe (Seth); his grandson, Derrick Bohannan (Wendy); his great grandson, Sam Mabe who was the love of his life; and his precious little great granddaughter, Payten Bohannan. David also has two sisters, Evelyn Hayes and Cheryl Hodges; and one brother, Eddie Booe.

David was the owner/operator of Piedmont Electric Company for 47 years. David was a member of the Professional Bowlers Association. David also loved to pitch fast pitch softball and actively played until he was 60 years old.

David liked to stay busy. He enjoyed tending his vineyard, landscaping his property, and visiting family and friends. David always made time for his grandchildren and was quick to help anyone in need. David never turned down a trip to the beach or the opportunity to go fishing. David often entertained family and friends with his guitar and banjo.

David will be missed by many.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Church of Christ at Ketner's with Brother Rick Mann and Brother Randy McKnight officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM, Friday evening, October 18th at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
