Iris Faye Lawson Kuhl

Mrs. Iris Faye Lawson Kuhl, 87, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Walnut Ridge Assisted Living in Walnut Cove. She was born on October 18, 1937, in Surry County, the daughter of the late James Elmer Lawson and Ada Belle Johnson Lawson. Iris was a longtime member of Westfield Baptist Church, where she served in the WMU. She served as secretary at both locations of Westfield Elementary School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, John Kuhl. Iris is survived by her son, Jeffery Kuhl and wife Patricia; four grandchildren, Tiphani Claire St. Romain (Derek), Chelsea Blaire Rollings, Rachel Arielle Horton (Stephen) and Ethan Josiah Kuhl (Marie); 8 great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandsons. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Westfield Baptist Church in Westfield with Pastor Blake Bowman and Rev. Dale Riddle officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 prior to the service at the church.
