Irene Tucker Windsor

Mrs. Irene Tucker Windsor, 78, of Winston-Salem, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on October 17, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was the daughter of the late Leonard and Evelyn Tucker and was born on May 1, 1934. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years, Duane Windsor. Mrs. Windsor was a graduate of Gray High School and worked for over 30 years at McLean Trucking Company. She retired from Piedmont Airlines/USAirways after 15 years of service. She is survived by twin daughters, Allison W. Thomason and husband Samuel of Kernersville and Millison W. Jones and husband Stephen of East Bend. She has four beautiful granddaughters, Stephanie and Jennifer Jones, and Amy and Ashley Thomason. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, October 19 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 20 at 1:00 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church with Dr. Howard Wilburn officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
