Irene Elefantis

Irene Elefantis passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 27, 2015. She was born on August 6, 1946 in Klitsos, Greece to the late Demetrios and Argyro Samaras. She was a beautiful and talented woman who loved her family and enjoyed life. She loved her church and served for her church.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Aristides ""Harry"" Elefantis. Her children, Fofi Karagiorgis, Angie Raptis and her husband, Dino Raptis, and her son George Elefantis. Her brother Nick Samaras and sister-in-law Frances Samaras; her sister, Sophia Theoganni and brother-in-law Vaios Theoganni; sister-in-law, Koula Tsoutsigas and brother-in-law Ftis Tsoutsigas. She was also a grandmother to seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and great friends who loved her deeply. The family will receive friends at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 435 Keating Drive, Winston-Salem, NC on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm with a Trisagion Service at 7:30 pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday October 29, 2015 at 11:00 am at the church.
