Mr. Ira Eugene Teague, 87, of Winston-Salem died Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He was born July 14, 1923 in Forsyth County, the son of the late Leon F. and Tiny Petree Teague. Mr. Teague was a member of First United Church of Christ where he was a Sunday school teacher and was a coach/player for the church softball team. He retired from what was once Farmers Dairy. He loved baseball, hunting, fishing and bowling. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Louise Norton Teague of the home; one son, Randy Teague and wife, Cindy of Walkertown; two daughters, Sandy Teague and Annette Brinkley of Winston-Salem; eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 PM at First United Church of Christ with Rev. Elizabeth Horton and Rev. Wayne Linville officiating. Burial will follow in Waughtown Cemetery.
