Iowa Plemmons Taylor

Mrs. Iowa Plemmons Taylor, 99, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2014 at Oak Forest Nursing and Rehab. She was born September 1, 1914 in Asheville, NC to Merritt and Maggie Plemmons. Mrs. Taylor was a charter member of Freedom Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Shelby Lawson and husband Delmar of Walkertown, Carolyn West and husband Bill of Winston-Salem; three sons, Marshall Evans, Arvel Evans both of King, and Allen Evans of Mocksville; 12 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Lola Griffith of King. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Freedom Baptist Church in Rural Hall with Rev. John White officiating. Interment will follow at Grace Baptist Church Cemetery in Lewisville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
