Ingrid Maria Streich

Ingrid Maria Streich, 81, of Winston-Salem passed away at Forsyth Medical Center, Sunday, September 2, 2012. She was born December 17, 1930 in Hamburg, Germany to the late Maria Post and Karl Piehl. Ingrid came to the United States, August 15, 1953. Ingrid was preceded in death by her husband Gunter and long time companion and friend Garrett Vansetter. Surviving are two sons, Michael Streich and Oliver Streich (wife Loretta); cousin's Linda Szollosy, Chuck and Dean Szollosy. Her passions included drawing, painting, and the outdoors. She worked up to her death at Ringmaster Jewelers in Reynolda Village where she devoted herself to her customers and many friends. One of her greatest achievements other than her family, was becoming a citizen of the United States of America. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
