Inez Wear Whitt

KERNERSVILLE- Inez Wear Whitt, 98, died Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. Inez was born on September 2, 1917 to John and Mabel Wear. Inez was a retired upholstery seamstress and a lifelong member of Bunker Hill United Methodist Church. Her life centered around her family, and she loved family gatherings and outings. Inez also loved to travel and was an avid Carolina Tarheels Basketball Fan.

In addition to her parents, Inez was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Burley; and one sister, Eula.

Surviving are two sons, Monroe Whitt (wife, Loretta) and Javan Whitt (wife, Jean); four grandchildren, Amy Phillips (husband, Shannon), Erin Nichols (husband, Chad), Cameron Whitt (wife, Lora) and Corey Whitt (Kerri); six great grandchildren, Justin, Luke, and Elizabeth Phillips, Cale and Logan Nichols, and Gabriel Whitt.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Bunker Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. David Rorie and Rev. Wayne Eller officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 1:45 p.m. prior to the service in the Church Fellowship Hall. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bunker Hill United Methodist Church, 1510 Bunker Hill-Sandy Ridge Rd, Kernersville, NC 27284.
