Imogene Inman Simmons

Mrs. Imogene Inman Simmons, 85, of Walkertown passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was born May 11, 1927 in Surry County to Spencer Eugene and Daisy Newman Inman. She was a beloved wife, mother and ""nana"" and a member of Walkertown First Baptist Church for over fifty years. Surviving are her husband, Russell Jackson Simmons; a son, Mike R, Simmons and wife, Sherry; a daughter, Robin Simmons Shelton; two grandchildren, Matthew Simmons and Katelyn Middleton. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Phil Wagoner officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The family would like to thank Ray and Glenda Cook for their love and support.
