Mrs. Imogene Brown Collins, 82, of Clemmons, NC, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Collins was born in Wilkes County, NC on July 26, 1933, to the late Ambrose Floyd Brown and Ollie Watson Brown. Imogene was a loyal member of Lewisville Baptist Church and was a member of the choir. She was a graduate of A.L Brown High School in Kannapolis, NC and retired from Bellsouth. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey James Collins; two sisters, Iva Smith and Cleatis Faulkenbury; and one brother, Hamp Brown. Mrs. Collins is survived by her son, Randy Collins and wife, JoAnn of King, NC; two grandchildren, Trip Collins and Jennifer Collins, both of King, NC; two great-grandchildren, Cai and Aubrey Kate; two sisters, Irene Moose of Kannapolis, NC and Ruth Holbrook of Charlotte, NC; two brothers, Ransom Brown and Ambrose Junior Brown and wife, Daphne, all of Davidson, NC; and numerous other loving relatives and special friends. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 20, 2016, at Lewisville Baptist Church with Dr. George D. Smith and Rev. Jo C. Bjorling officiating. Interment will follow the service at Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
