Mrs. Idema Watkins Johnson, 87, of Clemmons passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at her home. She was born May 20, 1927 in Forsyth County to Millard O. and Effie Yokley Watkins. Idema was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, a lifetime member of the YMCA and was retired from Goody's Headache Company. She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy E. Johnson. Surviving are two sons, Kimberly Johnson (Denise) and Timothy Johnson ( Judy); three grandchildren, Chad Johnson (Amber), Natalie Johnson ( fiancé, Cody) and Megan Johnson (fiancé, Jay) and two sisters, Betty W. Thrift and Mary Lou W. Landingham. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM Saturday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Gary Byrum officiating. Burial will follow in Waughtown Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, N.C. 27103.
