Ida Ruth Mabe Jessup

Mrs. Ida Ruth Mabe Jessup, 83, of Winston-Salem, passed away Friday, August 21, 2009 at her home. She was born January 31, 1926 in Stokes County to Cornelius N. and Annie Smith Mabe. Mrs. Jessup was preceded in death by her husband, Rupert Warren Jessup; one daughter, Glenda Jessup and one son, Warren Jessup. Surviving are one daughter, Vicki Kinzie (Michael) of Greenville; two sons, Douglas Jessup (Diane) of Lewisville and Dwayne Jessup of Winston-Salem; four grandchildren; one great grandchild and two sisters, Neva Wilson of Winston-Salem and Estelle Nunn of El Paso, TX. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 24, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
