Ida Knight Albert

Mrs. Ida Knight Albert, 86, passed away Friday, February 13, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was born on October 18, 1922 in Rockingham County to the late William Edward Knight and Lucy Plummer Knight. Mrs. Albert was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Stokesdale and was retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Edward Albert Sr., and two brothers, Rev. Carl G. Knight and Max Knight. Mrs. Albert is survived by two daughters, Debra Albert of the home and Ann Boger and husband Richard of Winston-Salem, a son Paul Edward ""Eddie"" Albert Jr. and wife Judy of Tobaccoville, four grandchildren, Zack Albert and wife Julie of Fairfax, VA, Brooke Albert Smitherman and husband Andrew of Durham, NC, Brandon Boger currently in Iraq and Ryan Boger of Clayton, NC, three great-grandchildren, Caroline Albert, Anna Albert and Bradley Boger and one sister, Maxine Thomas of Winston-Salem. Funeral services for Mrs. Albert will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 16, 2009 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Stokesdale with Rev. Danny Chatham officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 Sunday afternoon, Feb. 15, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: American Cancer Society, 4 A Oak Branch Dr., Greensboro, NC 27407 or Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
