Hubert Clifton Mustin

BELEWS CREEK - Mr. Hubert Clifton Mustin, 89, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at his home. Hubert was born January 19, 1924 in Forsyth County to the late Charlie Clifton and Hadie Middleton Mustin. Hubert was WWII US Army veteran serving in France and Germany. He was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church and was the Parts Manager at Hennis Freight Lines for a number of years. In addition to his parents, Hubert was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Sulllivan; a son, Larry Mustin; and a brother. Surviving are his wife of 68 years, Lois Hemrick Mustin, of the home; one son, David Mustin (Pam) of Kernersville; one daughter, Linda Shimabukuro of Hawaii; one brother, Bill Mustin (Mildred) of Kernersville; two sisters, Phoebe Hill (Chester) of Belews Creek and Betty Ruth Burton (Leonard) of Old Town; eight grandchildren, Linnea Sullivan (Leslie), Michael Sullivan (Doria); Stephen, Kiyomi, Larry and Bernie Shimabukuro, Tracy Mustin and April Smith; 16 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, February 22, 2013 at Gospel Light Baptist Church with Dr. Bobby Roberson and Rev. Frank Shumate officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Thursday, February 21, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.
