Mr. Hoyle Travis Hartley, Jr., 78, of Winston-Salem passed away Monday, March 29, 2010 at The Oaks at Forsyth. He was born December 9, 1931 in Guilford County to Hoyle Travis Hartley, Sr.and Irene Lewis Hartley. Mr. Hartley was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the U.S. Air Force and was a graduate of High Point College. After college, he began his working career in Naval Intelligence. He became a Highway Patrol Trooper and later retired as a Senior Agent with the State Bureau of Investigation. Surviving are his wife, Louise Wood Hartley of the home; a son, Hoyle Travis Hartley, III ""Buddy"" and wife, Ellen of Hillsborough, N.C.; and two grandchildren, Keith Hartley and Beth Hartley. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Floral Gardens Cemetery in High Point with Rev. Norwood Green officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
