Howard Vernon Farrington

Howard Vernon Farrington, 86, passed away October 4, 2014. He was born July 31, 1928 in Guilford County to the late Hazel Farrington. Mr. Farrington was a member of Sandy Ridge United Methodist Church, He retired from Lilly Co. in High Point, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War. He was preceded in death by, his first wife, Doris Trent Farrington, a son; Thomas Wayne Farrington, and his two stepsons, Steve and Mike Sapp.

Surviving are; his wife; Martha S. Farrington, his son, Vernon Trent Farrington (Lou), a daughter, Kaye Queen (Mark), Stepdaughter, Gwen S. Fitts (Bill), Stepson; Robin Sapp (Mary), a daughter-in-law, Pam Farrington, and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted 11:00AM, Friday, October 10, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Vernon T. Farrington officiating.
Interment will follow at Sandy Ridge Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00PM on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Sandy Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, at 2223 Sandy Ridge Rd. High Point, NC 27265.

The family would like to thank the Staff of Walnut Ridge and the Staff of Hospice of Greensboro.
