Howard Franklin Butcher

Mr. Howard Franklin Butcher, 76, of Winston-Salem passed away Sunday, February 01, 2009 at his residence. He was born December 8, 1932 in Stokes County to the late Frank and Rachel Holder Butcher. Mr. Butcher served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict. He was an avid flea market dealer in North Carolina and Virginia and was known as the ""Toolman. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Edna C. Butcher; his son, Mark Butcher and wife Shelia of Winston-Salem; 3 grandchildren; four sisters, Nancy Bodenheimer of Winston-Salem, Barbara Edmond of Lenoir; Frances Eldridge of Oklahoma, Patricia Long of Lexington. A funeral service will be held 1:00PM Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Monday at the funeral home.
