Howard Lee Anders

Kernersville - Mr. Howard Lee Anders, 74, died Monday, May 16, 2016, at Forsyth Medical Center. Howard was born August 31, 1941 in Carroll County, VA to Elmer Freeman and India Anders. He was a member of Bible Revival Church in Kernersville and worked for Hanes Hosiery. Howard enjoyed fishing and loved his dog ""Cindy"".
In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Fitts Anders; and two sons, Ricky and Timmy Anders.
Surviving are his daughter, Kathy Welch of Walnut Cove; two grandchildren, Matthew and Kristy; six great grandchildren; two step-daughters, Mary Lee Collins and Norma Jean Baker; three brothers, Mike, Darrell, and Bill; three sisters, Joyce, Ruth and Fay; and two special friends, Rosemary and Stanley Rutherford.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Fries, VA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, at the funeral home.
