Horace Eugene Bud" Hicks

Mr. Horace Eugene ""Bud"" Hicks, 83 of Winston-Salem, died Saturday, January 10, 2009 at Forsyth Memorial Park. Mr. Hicks was born April 13, 1925 in Forsyth County, a son of the late Sherman Hicks and the late Mildred Hepler Hicks. He was a Chief Operator with RJ Reynolds and a member of Waughtown Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gladis Hicks in 2000. He is survived by a daughter, Tammy Hauser, and her 3 children of Florida, special granddaughter, Crystal Harrell and husband Bryan of Hope Mills, sister, Dorothy Fesperman and husband, Marshall, and a special friend, Evelyn Wilson and her daughter Mary. A graveside service will be conducted 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive 6-8 PM Monday and Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family would like to thank the nurses on 8th floor palliative care at Forsyth Hospital and the care givers at Clemmons Village1 for their love, care, and support.
