Hiwathia 'Hi' Pratt Ring

SAN ANTONIO, TX Mrs. Hiwathia ""Hi"" Pratt Ring, 53, loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother and friend passed away surrounded by her family at her home in San Antonio. She was born in Forsyth Co. on April 13, 1960 the daughter of Dilmer Ray Pratt and Ineda Fulk Pratt. Mrs. Ring graduated from South Stokes High School in 1979 and was previously employed by Hanes Dye and Finishing as an inspector. She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Anabella Grace Sandavol. Hi was a member Bethany Baptist Church in Winston-Salem and held her faith and her hope stayed true during her battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Jackie Lee Ring, Jr. of the home; son, Jacob Ring (Heather) of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Tiffany Sullivan of San Antonio, TX; two grandchildren, Aidan and Genevieve; parents, Dilmer and Ineda Pratt of Clemmons; brothers, Greg Pratt (Brenda) of King, NC; Ramie Pratt (Janet) of Reno, NV and Drexdal Pratt (Sherry) of Raleigh, NC; many brother and sister-in-laws; along with several nieces and nephews; and father and mother-in-law, Jack and Virginia Ring of Germanton, NC. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 2, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Dr. Brad Stamey officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 this evening, Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. The family would also like to thank Virginia Ring and the Odyssey Hospice House workers in San Antonio Texas for their love, care and support given to their loved one during this time.
