Mrs. Hilma Louise Brown Binkley, 81, passed away September 13, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born September 19, 1930 in Allendale County, SC to the late Perry Ransom Brown and Bertha Lyons Brown. She was a member of New Philadelphia Moravian Church and the Bona Vita Sunday school class. She was a graduate of R.J. Reynolds High School and was an accomplished painter and artist winning many awards. Mrs. Binkley was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Thomas Binkley and a daughter, Linda Binkley Ketner, and her brothers and sister, J.D. Brown, Clyde Brown, and Belle Lemons. She is survived by her sister, Margaret Smith; her brother, Chancel Brown and wife Joan; her two sons, Dane Binkley and Will Binkley; two grandchildren, Daniel Binkley and wife Alaina, and Michelle Wursten and husband Doug; three great-grandchildren, Desiree Binkley, Alyssa Binkley, and Tommy Wursten. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, September 20, 2012 at New Philadelphia Moravian Church with the Rev. Dr. Worth Green and the Rev. John G. Rights officiating. Burial will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
