Hilda Kiger

Ms. Hilda Lewis Kiger, 94, passed away Monday, September 27, 2021, at her home in Rural Hall. She was born in Forsyth Co. on December 27, 1926, the daughter of the late Clyde and Ella Snow Lewis. Aunt Hilda was retired from Western Electric. Aunt Hilda was known for her extensive traveling in which she drove herself. She was especially fond of San Antonio, TX. She stayed busy, playing board games, working puzzles, playing cards, and watching the western channel on TV. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Howell “Bud” Lewis; a sister, Janet Heath; and three special friends, Willie Hoots, Dorothy Petree and Lessie Todd. She is survived by a daughter, Angela Kiger; a number of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Carrie Nelson, Sheila Robbins, Jane Reid, and Kevin Wade. A memorial service will be conducted 1:00 PM Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Pastor Danny Spainhour officiating.
