Hilda Shelton Hudson

Mrs. Hilda Shelton Hudson, 82, passed away Sunday December 4, 2011 at the Oaks at Forsyth. She was born January 6, 1929 to Abe Shelton and Annie Worley Shelton. She was a Member of Hebron United Church of Christ where she served as an Elder. She was also a faithful choir member and a Sunday school teacher. She was a very loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years Otha Carroll Hudson; 2 daughters Tammy and Debbie Hudson; and 1 brother Tardy Shelton. She is survived by 3 daughters Kitty Spainhour (Dickie) of Carolina Beach; Diane Paulson (Tom) of Winston-Salem; and Laurie Jarvis (Bobby Beard) of Winston-Salem; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren; and 1 brother Harold Shelton (Meryl) of Winston-Salem. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday December 7, 2011 Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. Dave Carter and Rev. G. Thomas Shelton officiating. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
