KERNERSVILLE-Hilda Deal Eaton, 75, entered into God's perfect rest Sunday May 22, 2011. She was born November 26, 1935 in Forsyth Co. to the late George and Fannie Kirby Deal, the baby of ten children. Hilda was a member of Kernersville Moravian Church where she proudly served as a diener at the Love Feast services and helped in their chicken pie sales. She was employed by Wise Potato Chips and Western Electric before becoming a full time mom to three children. She was an excellent cook and could sew anything. The Halloween costumes she created won several prizes at parties. Hilda loved to work in her flowerbeds and can vegetables from her gardens. After her children grew up, she earned her real estate license and went to work for Century 21 and later Prudential Realty. While at Prudential, she was the creative vision for their Kernersville Christmas Parade floats. One of the best floats was when all the agents dressed as toys and mom dressed as Raggedy Andy. She was a loving mother and grandmother that made sure we had the best and guided us to know Jesus as our Lord and Savior. She also took pride in keeping a clean house and being able to take us on many family vacations. Surviving are her husband who she was devoted to for 58 years, James Eaton of the home; two sons, James Mitchell and Phillip Ray Eaton; daughter, Monica Atkinson and husband, Stan; grandson, Travis Ray Eaton; and sister, Doris Cannon. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Wednesday May 25, 2011 at Kernersville Moravian Church Chapel with Pastor Don Winters officiating. Burial will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the fellowship hall. The family would like to thank Kernersville Moravian Church and Pastor Don Winters for all their prayers and support and Bunker Hill United Methodist for their gifts of food. With much appreciation, thanks to all our friends, neighbors and extended family members for years of support and love. Thank you to all our in home caregivers, your being there kept mom home as long as possible. Thanks to Cathy, RN at Kernersville Medical Center for your comfort and to Hospice of the Piedmont for making her final days peaceful. You fought a good fight dear wife and mom, well done good and faithful servant. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
