Hersey Birch, Jr.

Walkertown - Hersey Preston Birch, Jr., 71, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center. Hersey was born July 11, 1946 in Cabell County, West Virginia, to Hersey, Sr. and Essie Maxine Chapman Birch. He was a Veteran of the US Army and a Vietnam Vet. Hersey loved growing tobacco, "he had a green thumb."

In addition to his parents, Hersey was preceded in death by two sisters, Gloria Jean Black, and Linda Lou Wallace.

Surviving are his wife, Carol Ann Birch of the home; his daughter, Angela Ann Birch Coleman, and five brothers and sisters, Ed Birch of West Virginia, Sharon Nale of Tennessee, Betty Payne of Tennessee, Brenda Thompson of Ohio, and Mike Birch of Kernersville, North Carolina

The family and friends will gather at the home.
