Herman Franklin White, Jr.

Mr. Herman Franklin White, Jr., age 85, of Pfafftown, NC died Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born June 5, 1928 in Chowan County, NC to Herman Franklin and Margaret Speight White. Mr. White served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He retired from Weyerhaeuser Paper Co. with 36 years of service, and was a member of Lewisville United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Alice Brenny and Minnie Hagood; and one brother, Oscar White. Surviving are his wife, Una L. White, of the home; one daughter, Dinah W. McCotter of Winston-Salem; two grandchildren, Shannon McCotter of Asheville, and Trent McCotter of Washington D.C.; three sisters, Peggy Chestnutt of Winston-Salem, Lou Marshall of Temperanceville,VA, and Anne Hester of Mt. Juliet, TN. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel with Rev. Keith Bingham officiating. Entombment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park at 1:00PM. The family will receive friends 6:00 PM to 8:00PM Friday at the funeral home.
