Herman Roy Brannock

BRANNOCK - WALNUT COVE Mr. Herman Roy Brannock, 90, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Kate B. Reynolds Home. He was born in Surry County on June 9, 1923 to the late Cora and Isaac Brannock. Mr. Brannock was of the Baptist Faith and a United States Army Veteran. He retired from R.J. Reynolds with 33 years of service. In addition to his parents, Mr. Brannock was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine ""Jo"" Brannock; one son, Eldon Brannock; three sisters; and four brothers. He is survived by one daughter, Betty (Dean) McKenzie of Walnut Cove; four sons: Weldon Gray (Cheryl) Brannock of Winston-Salem, Isaac Burton (Karen) Brannock of Pfafftown, Robert Stevenson Brannock of Walnut Cove and Nathan Roy (Penny) Brannock of Winston-Salem; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one brother, Don Porter Brannock of Mt. Airy; several nieces and nephews; and also, a special friend, Gracie Alexander. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 15 at Woodland Cemetery with Pastor Cliff Willis officiating. There will be no formal visitation.
