Herman Bennett

Mr. Herman William Bennett, 88, passed away Friday, July 16, 2021, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born on November 19, 1932, in Stokes Co. the son of the late Arthur Reid Bennett and Mary Harrison Bennett. Herman retired from Hanes Dye and Finishing and loved to work in his garden. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mabe Bennett; and a sister, Ruth Ward. He is survived by a son, William Bennett and wife Patricia; three grandchildren, Eddie, Sherry and Bobby; three great-grandchildren, Kourtney, Kasey and Landon; one great-great-grandchild, Kayden; and a brother, Tommy Bennett. A graveside service with military honors will be conducted 11:00AM Monday July 19,2021 at Gardens of Memory Walkertown with Chaplin Carol Wilkinson officiating.
