Herbert Mark Pegg

KERNERSVILLE-Herbert Mark Pegg, 88 passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at Randolph Hospital. He was born January 23, 1923 in Guilford County to the late William Wesley Pegg, Sr. and Annie Lee Pegg Pegg. Mr. Pegg was a graduate of Colfax High School and a WWII Navy veteran. His lively hood was farming and he also was employed for many years as a golf course superintendant. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Arlena Davenport Pegg; and brother, Lee Pegg. Surviving are two sons, Wayne and Dale Pegg ; two grandsons, Jeff and Gary Pegg all of Kernersville;one granddaughter, Julie Lynn Augustyniak; two great-grandsons, Aaron and Austin; three sisters, Esther Parker, Pat Murphy and Mary Leonard; and one brother, William Wesley Pegg, Jr. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Dr. Mary Miller officiating. Entombment will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory Mausoleum. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
