Henry Alfred Miller

Mr. Henry Alfred Miller, 84, of Advance passed away Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He was born June 13, 1926 in Yadkin County to Henry Alfred and Grace Lindley Miller. Mr. Miller was a member of Yadkin Valley Baptist Church and had been employed by Western Electric, Multi Craft and Crown Wood Products. He also served in the United States Navy during WWII. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Stella Hayes and three brothers, Claude, Bobby and Larry Miller. Surviving is his wife of 61 years, Mary C. Miller of the home; two daughters, Sherry Foster and husband Spurgeon of Mocksville and Susan Rothrock and husband Mack of Advance; two sons, David Miller and wife Terri and Rodney Miller and wife Nancy, all of Advance; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren and two sisters, Grace Foreman of Atlanta, GA and Ruth Morrison of Macomb, IL. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at Yadkin Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Craddock and Rev. Will Pryor officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel.
