Henry Manning

Mr. Henry Leo Manning, 89, passed away at Kate B. Reynolds Home on Friday March 24, 2023. He was born on April 18, 1933, to the late Thomas Henry Manning and Ethel Flynn Manning in Forsyth County, NC. Leo built and remodeled many houses for friends and family and worked for the Winston-Salem Housing Authority for 10 years before starting his own plumbing business. He also served in the Army during the Korean War and continued to serve as an active duty member for the following six years. Along with his parents Leo is preceded in death by his three brothers, Wilbur, Bill and Marshall Manning; and four sisters Margaret Jenkins, Frances Ebert, Maxine Beshears, and Lenora Baety. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Nancy Calloway Manning and many nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial service held at a later date.
