Henry A. Hendrix

Mr. Henry A. Hendrix, age 73, of Winston-Salem, died suddenly on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He was born July 25, 1936 in Davie County to the late A. E. and Nannie Foote Hendrix. Mr. Hendrix was a graduate of Shady Grove High School Class of 1954 and had served in U.S. Navy Reserves during the Korean Conflict. He was a long time member of Clemmons First Baptist Church and a Charter Member, Past Master and Life member of Clemmons Masonic Lodge #755, A.F. & A.M., Scottish Rites Bodies, Member of Oasis Temple and Winston-Salem Shrine Club and Charter Member of Clemmons OES Chapter #373. He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and three brothers. Surviving is his wife of 51 years of a wonderful marriage, Frances S. Hendrix of the home; two sisters, Hazel H. Myers of Winston-Salem and Nell H. Wyatt of Mocksville and numerous nieces and nephews and more friends than anyone could count. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 21, 2010 at Clemmons First Baptist Church by The Reverend Dr. Robby Phillips, Rev. Thomas C. Womble, Jr. and The Reverend Deacon Kermit Bailey. Burial will follow in Fork Baptist Church Cemetery in Mocksville with Masonic Rites, Mr. Bill Teague presiding. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clemmons Masonic Lodge #755, P.O.
